Mood: Overwhelmed
I'm rounding my fourth week of unemployment from Big Huge. I've never been a part of a departmental lay-off before, or any lay-offs in general. I've been going over my art/design portfolio as of late, because I'm not sure the games industry is going to work out so well for me. QA positions are mostly few and far between, and don't pay well enough to relocate for one. Sadly, most game development studios rarely hire new composers, either. I've been trying to familiarize myself with FMOD and other industry audio packages, but out of context they're a little hard to grasp. I will be the first to tell someone that I am not a programmer.
Since I have so much free time as of late, I've been looking for new side projects dealing with either visual art or music. Likely, though, my posts will get lost in the sea of other Craigslist addicts shouting "look at me! look at me!" Such is the world.

Mood: Exhausted
Current projects:
- Scene 2 music for Water Life
- Imagine Cup brainstorming ideas
It's the start of tech week for both Harding and Diamond Dead. It's going to be a very long and further exhaustive week, but I'm still trying to get everything else that's on my plate at least started. Saturday will be my drop-dead-get-some-rest day, in between bouts of scoring for Water Life. Once this week is over, I will be extremely happy.

Mood: Productive
Spent six hours on Saturday adding some ADR sounds to STAMGo!, and am only a few small tweaks away from getting a locked cut of the movie done. Spent another three hours working on scene scoring for Water Life, so it was a very busy weekend. This coming weekend's game jam is going to be interesting, considering I've never had to help design/put music to a game in 24 hours. It's
going to be a lot of fun, though, and will give me another chance to be as creative as possible.

Mood: Bustling
Current projects:
- ADR sound for STAMGo!
- IDEAL promo video
- Cut scene music for Water Life
Projects are being consistently added to my schedule, but the time to finish them in is diminishing as Harding and Diamond Dead rehearsals pick up more. Been thinking heavily about going full-time with freelancing as more gets piled on. I want to be able to deliver projects in a timely manner. But perhaps the freelancing will always be a side gig. Only time will tell.

Mood: Content
Current projects:
- IDEAL promo video
- Harding promo materials
- STAMGo! final cut
Finished adding dad's overdubs to the STAMGo! timeline. The film is 100 times funnier now, and really plays up the overall goofiness. Only small things to tweak and add now. A final cut is not too far in the distance, so I have to start focusing on editing together materials for the bonus disc. Harding opens in 29 days, and time is moving very quickly. Need to get everything done in the next couple weeks so we have time to make any adjustments to my cartoons or posters.

Mood: Still busy
Lots of live performance-related things going on this weekend. Gig with Like No Tomorrow on Saturday, and more Harding rehearsals on Sunday. Recording Alex's voiceovers for the IDEAL promo video on Sunday as well, so it's going to be a full weekend as usual.
Still tweaking the site, so lots of changes to be expected for the time being.

Mood: Busy
Projects I'm currently working on:
- WaterLife trailer and music
- Drawing Harding cartoons
- IDEAL promotional video
- STAMGo! final cut
Looking for more music composition work for the future. Indie films and games are the main focus, but I will compose for anything of interest.
Still can't figure out Pro Tools LE. I've been told it's harder to learn than actual Pro Tools. Would like others to confirm this. Garageband is still the most fun to compose in. Not the best for audio editing, but I have other things for that.
